Manama, Bahrain

Bahrain is an archipelago of 36 islands off the coast of Saudi Arabia in the Persian Gulf. The interesting point is the combination of traditional and historical sites of the Arab world, with towering modern constructions. Manama – the Bahrain’s capital comprises modern restaurants, nightlife living side by side and luxurious shopping opportunities.

In Manama you can experience the thriving nightlife, with clubs and bars popular with visitors from all over the world. The wealthy Manama also hosts lovely beaches and offers leisure activities from diving and sailing to golf and camel riding.

Manama Souq is a bustling marketplace with small workshops and numerous traditional shops. The narrow rows of stalls at the centre are famous for their vast variety of perfumes, all kind of spices, fabrics, kaftans, handicrafts, souvenirs, dry fruits, nuts, and gold. The only items sold there are 18K and 21K gold.

Construction of the Bahrain World Trade Center began in 2004 and was completed in 2008 at a total cost of US $150,000,000.
