Sliema, Malta

Sliema is a coastal town located on the north eastern edge of Malta, only 5km north of Valletta by road. Meaning “peace”, it was once a fishing village. But now is a hotspot for tourism and shopping, and one of Malta’s main coastal resorts.

Sliema’s shopping area – Tower Road, is among the best on the island. It is home of number of high fashion shops, cafes, and restaurants. The fashion stores include Zara, Bennetton, Sisley, NEXT, Morgan and all other well known cosmopolitan brands of clothing. Also there you can find Maltese lace, fine silverware and pottery.

With amazing rocky beaches Sliema resort offers a huge range of watersports. The choice is virtually endless. If you choice diving or snorkeling, you will have the opportunity to explore a variety of underwater worlds, include caves, reefs and shipwrecks. This is also the place to be if you want to take a day cruise or enjoy with sunbathing on the flat rocky beach area.
