Butterfly Lake, Fraser Island

butterfly lake

Fraser Island is the largest sand island in the world, has approximately a length of 120km and is up to 15km. More than 40 freshwater lakes are nestled among the island’s sand dunes. Most of the island is protected in Great Sandy National Park and managed as a recreation area. In the next photos we are present you The Butterfly Lake – only a part of the incredible region of Fraser Island. Not sure if it’s real name but I think it should be! :)
