This is an annual festival of colors. Holi Festival has an ancient origin and celebrates the triumph of good over evil. It’s amongst the important festival of Hindus, other being Diwali and Rakshabandhan. The holiday is primarily celebrated in countries with large Hindu populations such as India, Suriname, Fiji, Mauritius and Trinidad. The festival marks the end of winter and the abundance of the upcoming spring season.

Holi got its name as the “Festival of Colors” from Lord Krishna, who liked to play pranks on the village girls by drenching them in water and colors. Holi is the incomparably experience – color spray, water balloons, traditional dances and delicious food are the main attractions of Holi. It’s a festival of the liveliness and the happiness. 
 

Usually on this day people put colors on each other. In action is an enthusiastic dropping of inhibitions, as people chase each other and playfully splash colorful paint, powder and water on each other.
