Andalucia is world-famous for its “Fiestas”. Over 3,000 fiestas are celebrated every year – honoring everything from Saints to food. These lively celebrates including fairs, pilgrimages and carnivals. With cheerful people and loud entertainment, the fiestas creating a very special atmosphere. The calendar flows with events and activities including music, dance and etc.

At June 23- 24 is the day of San Juan (St. John’s Day). This special day marks the start of the summer holiday season. The night of San Juan is really extraordinary spectacle. It is celebrated with huge fireworks and bonfires on the beaches, lasting all night.


You have to jump over a fire three times then leap into the sea. The theory is that you wash your body in the sea to cleanse your sins. The fires symbolized to burn old memories and to mark a new start. After this you turn into one huge party on the beach continuing until the sun comes up. These moments will stay fixed in your memory forever.
