Azure Window, Malta

azure window

Azure Window is a natural archway in the island of Gozo, Malta. The arch was formed millions of years ago when two limestone caves collapsed. The rough waves in this region make the rock even more spectacular.

gozo island
Gozo Island is one of the best possibilities in the world to dive experience, offering crystal clear waters. The Azure Window is near by Blue Hole that is among the most popular scuba diving sites. Gozo diving organizes guided Gozo dives for certified divers both from shore and by boat.

Attention! The arch is 50m high and you should avoid walking over the arch because the upper part is in danger of collapsing.

I went there and it was spectacular. The water in the pool and underneath the window is so deep you cant see the bottom and the diving was amazing. Under the water there is a tunnel from the pool to the window. One of the coolest things I’ve ever done. Gozo is a beautiful island and so is Malta. Although they are small there is so much to see from Megalithic temples (the oldest in the world) to the midevil city of Mdina this trip is definitely worthwhild. DO IT!!! :)
