Cooper-Hewitt Design Museum – New York City

The Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum is located in New York City.  The Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum is now a branch of the Smithsonian, but it originated as a modest collection of interior design. The Museum’s collection includes both historic and contemporary design. It presents  perspectives on of design  active educational programs, exhibitions and publications.

About the Collections: The museum holds more than 250,000 items, including drawings, prints, textiles, furniture, ceramics, glass,  and woodwork and other. The books, trade catalogs, serials, pictures, and archival material covering design and decorative art from the Renaissance to the present. Architecture and graphic design are also well covered.

Kids will find fun  family programs that complement special exhibitions, as well as hands-on workshops and other.

Museum Fees
General Admission: $15.00
Senior Citizens and Students with I.D.: $10.00
Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum and Smithsonian Institution Members and children under age 12 are admitted free.
