Amsterdam has a new award winning tourist attraction –
“House of Bols Cocktail & Genever Experience”. The House of Bols is a new museum in Amsterdam, about genever (in Dutch “
jenever“), also known as Dutch gin. Located opposite
Van Gogh museum, offers a truly interactive experience into the world of cocktails and the exciting bartending culture. The House of Bols is a place where visitors can discover everything about the world’s oldest distilled spirits brand; Lucas Bols, in
Amsterdam since 1575.

A visit to the House of Bols is a spectacular journey for all your senses in which you learn how to taste a delicious cocktail of your choice with your nose, eyes, ears, hands and of course, with your mouth. The multisensory experience takes visitors on a spectacular adventure of taste, smell, images and sound. In the
museum you can learn about genever, liqueurs and cocktails, and see how genever used to be produced in copper kettles.

As winner of the prestigious
Dutch Design Award for Best Exhibition & Experience 2007, House of Bols proves that heritage and history mix perfectly with innovation and contemporary design.
Opening hours: every day except Tuesday, 12-6. Entrance is E 10, which includes a cocktail of your choice.
