We went to Bled and had a wonderful time soaking in the beauty. My brother, an avid cyclist, took his bike on a many-hour ride around the surrounding mountains, and said it was a great ride. Dinner at a restaurant by the lakeside was very nice. Picked up some goods sold by local artists, now they're keepsakes of the trip. Loved Ljubljiana, too! And, also not to miss is Piran on the coast. Ptuj in eastern Slovenia was very interesting as well. Loved Lasko beer, wish they'd export it to the U.S.! I've been to Bled 2 times already, always combined it with a visit to Europe's coolest festival, the Metal Camp in Tolmin / Slovenia.
