The village of Ribaritsa is found 600 metres above the sea level, at the foot of Stara Planina Mountain Range. From the beginning of the century the resort “Ribaritsa” together with
Borovetz is one of the most famous mountain resorts in
Bulgaria. It is the southernmost and the most beautiful one among the 12 villages in the municipality of Teteven. It has about 1250 inhabitants and stands 12 km southeast of Teteven and 128 km to the northeast of the capital Sofia.
Ribaritsa is spread along Beli Vit River coast and thus is a perfect place for holidays, far away from the city. The charm of the Ribaritsa village are the numerous little country houses and villas. Its symbol is a sculptural figure of a fisherboy, put on a rock to the right of the road.
