Race down fun at Chicago Indoor Racing! This indoor carting track was opened last fall by a former European racecar driver. The carts go about 30 mph-rather fast when you’re riding a few inches off the ground! Racers must be 18 or older and hold a regular driver’s license. The facility is open daily in Buffalo Grove. The track also hosts corporate events and racing leagues. (The show will cover all forms of motor sport up to and including Formula 3).


Kart Expo International, the premier exposition for the kart racing industry in North America, was held last December in Covington, Kentucky, USA. In January, following the suggestions of many in the racing industry, Kart Expo producers, The Kart Marketing Group, Inc., began the long, arduous task attempting to locate a suitable show venue in the Chicago area. After months of research, we are pleased to announce that Pheasant Run Resort and Convention Center in Chicago will be the site of the 9th annual Kart Expo International.
Kart Expo International has been the premiere karting tradeshow in the US. Through the years the event moved around the country, but for the past 10 years found that the Chicago area was the most popular location. Since it landed, each year the event continued to grow, to the point where it was necessary to look for a larger venue.
The show, which began in the area in 1993, will be held on February 17-18, 2001 at the celebrated suburban Chicago resort. Over 4,000 committed competitors visited companies selling everything from racing karts and safety equipment to performance parts and accessories. Attendance was up 10 per cent on the previous year.
