A paradise where nobody can find you

Roatan’s most exclusive boutique resort, Royal Playa is just what you were looking for… a Paradise where nobody can find you. The location is in historic Port Royal, where the island remains pristine. No roads, no rush, only the sound of the breeze and ocean. Surrounded by the National Reserve lands containing the tallest mountains on the island, privacy is assured. Access is by boat over the beautiful reef that runs for miles in front of our own private beach.
Royal Playa is…crystal clear, coral reef filled waters for diving or snorkeling… a beautiful white sand beach with palms… hikes to the top of the tallest mountain on the island… a climb up a jungle valley filled with ferns… a kayak ride through the clear blue Caribbean water… a swim out to the uninhabited islands off our beach… relaxing in your hammock and experiencing the greatest afternoon naps, ever!
Its intimate atmosphere is populated by only five beach front cabanas spread over 12 acres. Each cabana is two stories, 840 square feet and roofed in bay palm leaf. The natural element is reflected in all aspects of the architecture as natural materials were used in the crafting of the buildings. Each cabana has a large bathroom that includes a large open shower, flush toilet, and unique sink. All baths have modern function with tropical charm. The floors are covered in beautiful old spanish tile.
Each cabana is set among a tropical landscape that includes coconuts, mango, craboo, breadfruit, avacado, coco plum, cassava, pineapple, cashew, almond, orange, lime, and grapefruit trees. They are cool, inviting, beautiful and unique.

Candlelight dinner on the beach. White linen tablecloths, crystal; a most romantic setting for dinner. There are few things more important than great food on vacation. We accomodate every guest. Before you arrive, our chef will contact you by email, and ask you for food preferences, and plan a menu.
Being located on an island, seafood is the fare of the day. Shrimp, Lobster, Crab, Grouper and Snapper are caught by islanders here. We also do vegatarian, as well as other continental fare.
All of our water is from one of two artisan springs located on the property which is potable. We do have bottled water available as well.
Our thatched roof bar, The Palapa, sits out over the clear water, with a sunbathing dock and a swim dock. Beer, mixed drinks, frozen drinks, soft drinks, juices, and snacks are available. Alcoholic beverages are NOT included in the package price.
